Many Illinois motorists will also shop or dine while in LeClaire supporting Iowa retailers and paying Iowa motor fuel and sales taxes. Illinois needs tax revenue to balance its budget and the best way to get added tax revenue is to make Illinois prices and taxes competitive with our neighboring states.
